There is already hundreds of apps for Philips hue. What do you usually use apps for? (disco/party/scenes/alarm/geolocation/notifications)

What I mostly use with Philips hue besides the scenes is the IF (used to be called IFTTT) app where you set different rules for what you need.

Talking about IF reminded me of Flic (https://flic.io/). I truly love Flic – it is just a simple button that you can automate for different things. It is like IF + hardware button that costs only $19.  For instance, I use it as a light switch for scenes.

I think the best feature of hue bulbs is the mood creation. Then automation – like autoON when I get home and stuff like that done via apps like IF (https://ifttt.com/) or Zapier (https://zapier.com/) , or security – which randomly turns ON/OFF when I’m not home.

I do think mood creation is one of the greatest features! I do have Philips Hue lights for many items and I was always creating some scenes for it. That’s why I’ve created a new app for iPhone and iPad: Hue Lights for Philips Hue – Ambience lighting app

I’m a party girl :), so I just love the hue disco app – it’s fun especially when you have people around. Even though I have to say that the hue disco app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hue-disco/id581258186?mt=8) gotten worse in the recent days, some report flaws and I experienced them, too. However, when it works, it’s just a lot of fun – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjXzdmjPMhU

Definitely IFTTT. That’s the future. We are not there yet but wait for it.
