The ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine is a Home Automation solution that makes your home a Smart Home, by providing reliable, intuitive, and comfortable automation and monitoring of your Philips Hue Lighting System. The engine automatically determines the geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the place where you live, and can adapt the times when some or all of your lights are turned on and off to your daily local sunrise and sunset times.   When you are at home, the ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine makes the way you use light more comfortable, automatically creating the right ambience for every moment.

When you are away on vacation, or on business trips, the ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine provides additional security, and helps protect your home and property from burglars. When you have gone out or are away on vacation, making your home look occupied by pseudo-randomly switching lights in different rooms on and off helps to keep burglars away.

Using a simple and intuitive table with columns for each day of the week, and with rows for each of your lights and rooms, you can specify personalized light recipes for your daily routines, when you are at home, and when you are away from home.

For example you can use the table to program your ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine in such a way that bright natural light in your bedroom wakes you up on weekdays at specific times in the morning.

As another example, you can use the table to program your ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine in such a way that, depending on your local sunset times, a relaxing ambience with warm light is awaiting you in your living room, helping you to unwind and relax when you return from work in the evening.

Similarly, you can use the table to program your ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine in such a way that the lights in the garden and in front of your house are in the morning (if you so desire Monday through Saturday only) switched on one hour before twilight begins (i.e., when the sun is 6 degrees below the horizon) and switched off 30 minutes after sunrise.

In the evening the lights in the garden and in front of the house can, for example, be switched on 15 minutes before sunset, and switched off 10 minutes past midnight.

The table that you use to program your ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine is safely kept, with full version control, as a Google Sheet on Google Drive, which in turn is maintained in a Google Data Center, with Google taking care of all backups, so that you avoid the risk of losing your table.   The table that you use to program your ASITAS Schedule Execution Engine is private to you, and cannot be accessed by anyone else (except, and only if you ask for remote support, by authorized ASITAS staff). All you need to edit the table is a web browser.

A sample table is here.
