Berne, I joined this forum to ask the very same question. I use an Android phone and was wondering which Hue app works best to set up the kind of timer you describe. The apps I’ve tried have kitchen-type timers but nothing like what you and I want. At least, I don’t think so, but I’m not sure, because often the instructions aren’t very clear.

Can anyone help us?

I have now found in the original Hue app how to do.

Under “Other routines you can make a schedule when to turn on and when to

turn off the light. Then you click on every day in the week if you want the same function all days. I have made one routine for morning and one for evening. You can choose the type of room and even made a own name on the room. This works !

Regards

Berne

Thanks for responding, Berne. Yes, in tutorials and other instructions, I’ve seen “routines” mentioned as the method to use. I’ve downloaded to my Android phone what I think is the stock Phillips Hue app. Attached is an image of what its icon looks like on my phone. But nowhere, bottom of screen or elsewhere, have I been able to find any buttons, etc. that are labeled “routines.” Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I finally realized I was using the wrong app. Users of that app have left many comments about how it was changed to not do many actions any more. The image shown is of the app that does work as Berne describes.

Bill.

Good that you find the right app. I didn’t recognize the one with white text on black background. Regards Berne
