Lightstrip Plus won’t turn off…

Hi,

I had a fully functioning Lightstrip Plus, and stepped on it, breaking it. So…I bought 2 x 1 metre extensions, and connected them into the adapter, added new lights etc. and all OK.

However….when I now try and turn off using Amazon Alexa, (“Alexa, turn off Dining Room Lights”), one existing lightstrip turns off fine, this one dims to red lights only! I have tried everything I know deleting, setting up again, and nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks.

That’s weird. Have you tried swapping the 2 strips to determine if it’s the strip itself or the position in the chain? If it’s the strip, I would consider returning it as defective.

I bought 2m starter kit. I made installation to above of my counter top. First section is 1,7 m so i cutted 30 cm off from strip. I tried to reconnect it with diy wires. Wire touched accidentally each other, when power was On. So a short circuit occurred. After this strip still worked, but I was not able to shut it down. I realized that every third diode was in full power (warm white) and i can control 2 other diodes. But color effect was lame because of these fully powered warm white lights. My solution: I took orange/yellow wire off from circuit board, from control box of HUE strip. Now strip works fine except I want use warm white. I can use colors and dimming, yellow and white works also but between white and yellow it turns of or there is little green or red mixed to white. Problem with these products is that you can’t find spare parts, for example new control box. And in this newer Light strip plus, wire of strip is fixed straight to control box with out connectors.
