Sensor overriding manual settings

Hi all,

Only a week in with hue, so likely this is human error…

I have a motion sensor that is set, during night hours, to turn on a lamp when motion detected and to turn off when there’s 15 minutes without motion.  The trouble is, if I manually turn on the light linked to that sensor (or have it turn on by timer) it still adheres to the 15 minute turn-off rule of the sensor.

So my porch light has a sensor to detect motion and light up, then turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity.  I also would like the porch light to come on for a couple of hours in the evening by timer.  When the timer kicks in the light comes on, but if there isn’t any motion detected for 15 minutes the porch light will turn off, regardless of the timer turn-off time.

Hopefully this makes sense.  Is there any way to separate the two?

Thanks, Matt.
