Bulb turning its self off

Updated on April 2, 2019 in [Hardware for Philips hue]

We have left one of our hue bulbs on a few times now when we have left the house unattended and each time when we return it is off.

i have made sure sunrise/sunset is off and home/away is off so i dont know what else to check.

it is set to be connected to the google home app. is that something to do with it maybe?

thanks, marc

It may be, Marc, the google home app. I’m not sure what rules you have set up there. Make sure you killed all off your apps in your phone, in your partner’s phone, in your kids’ phone, in your cat’s phone. It may be triggered only by something you set up previously or someone from your household. And test it again.

It also may be that the bulb has a bug and is not functioning well. You can report that issue on official Philips Hue Twitter: https://twitter.com/tweethue

Good luck.
Tomas

cheers. there arent any rules at all. sunrise/sunset isnt on and home/away isnt on.

the only connection is google home that is connected to both Nest (doorbell, heating and smoke alarms) and Philips Hue. As home/away is set on Nest i didnt know if somehow that was connected. however, having it turned off in the philips hue app should override any other apps home/away.
