Hue Bridge PSU Blown

I got a Hue starter kit for Christmas & got it all set up & working. However I heard a loud pop the other day & the bridge went dead. On testing there is no power coming out of the bridge psu & putting temp power to the bridge it lit up. So it seems the psu has blown up which makes my expensive Xmas present unusable after a week! Have been in touch with Philips & after a struggle they said they send another psu out, if they had one. Have heard nothing since.  It seems psu’s aren’t available on their own, you have to buy a whole bridge kit. I am not prepared to spend £50 on something that lasted only a week!   Any ideas please?

The bridge should easily and cheap be bought on ebay etc. (even brand new ones)
