Routines Not Working after Bridge Update

I installed the latest update to the Hue Bridge yesterday and starting last night, none of the routines for outside lights worked.  I had to manually turn of the lights thru the app on my iPhone.  This morning, none of the lights had turned back off.  They were working fine before the software update.  What’s up?

Well, the routines worked tonight.  We’ll see if they turn off in the morning.

I have the same problem the lights won’t turn off in the Hue app. It is very annoying that I spent a lot of money on a Phillips hue automated light system and it doesn’t work now and Phillips is ignoring all the complaints while making a fortune, I am going to purchase another system

Routines aren’t working for me either. Unsure if it was the update as I just got these and didnt try before updating.

My routines did start working the next day. No idea why. This was the first real problem I’ve had with the system since I got it last year.

I, too, have this issue.  All of my routines seem to only work once for one day then stop working or shut themselves off.  What gives?

Same here – the turn the lights off routine turns itself off. I have tried removing and re-adding the routine.

Terrible product. Routines are not consistent at all. They are more non working than they are working. What happens if you go away for an extended time. Lights are just constantly on? Phillips are you paying my electric bill? Probably not. This should be something you look into fixing

Does anyone from Philips Hue reply to these?  My routines haven’t worked in months. That’s the simplest thing this product can do.

Same here. Used to be stable, bit since some weeks back the lights are not turned on according to the routines. Same routines. Very annoying.

I just purchased the Hue system and 10 bulbs. My routine didn’t turn the outdoor lights off this morning. These are configured as a zone called outdoor, which is 3 rooms, Front, Back Door and Back Porch. My routine is set at sundown to turn lights on, and at Morning to turn off. How do I get this working?

Oddly enough my zone was called “buiten” which is dutch for “outside” or “outdoor” – maybe the name of the zone has something to do with it (see solarfly73 and thread https://philipshue.com/thread/other-routine-stops-working-after-a-few-days/)

I have a similar issue.

None of the routines turns on automatically. They stopped working after the last Bridge update earlier the month. So, I have to manually turn the lights on and off morning and evening.

So, I hope that there will soon be a Bridge update to fix this annoying problem

I’m using an iPhone XS Max a IOS 13.1.3. I have 4 routines. They stopped working last night. I received a new update for my bridge last night as well. I did the update this morning and tonight two of my routines failed to turn my lights on. I went and tweaked the on time of the two routines that hadn’t turned my lights on at 5:30pm. I changed the on time to 5:40pm and re-saved the routine. The other two routines I just went into them and re-saved them. All 4 routines now work. All my lights turned on automatically. I’ll let you know if they fail to turn off.

Philips told me it is a known issue. They told me to clean-up the Bridge via the App. Before that you need to note down the settings of your routines, coming home, fading devices etc.
Once cleaned up the routines etc must be recreated and now everything works fine.

What does “Clean-up” mean?

All of my routines stopped working, have manual control only via the App.

In the App go to the menu point where the Hue bridge is listed. Click on the i next to the bridge name and select clean-up.
Important: before note down the settings of your routines, coming home, sensors. The clean-up will delete these
After the clean-up you must create routines etc and once done everything works again automatically
