Hello,

I’m new here. I’ve searched everywhere I think and no one has asked this before.

Since about 10 years there have been made scientific experiments on what light attracts the most insects. The most relevant result that Google showed me was actualy just from a good school project in Germany. According to them, high wavelength like blue to uv light especially attracts insects and warm white leds are the best white option to attract the least amount of insects.

Single colors like red or green seem to be weaker that mixtures or generally all light with high frequencies in it. So pure red could be best at the task…

Has anyone ever experimented with using certain colours like the night light preset to avoid attracting insects?

Any experienes about this topic are appreciated!

cheers
